	Tax Changes in Provincial and Federal Mini-budgets The end of 2007 saw mini budgets from the two upper levels of government. Ontario Mini-budget – released December 13th: Small Business Deduction threshold increased to $500k retroactive to January 2007 Proposed elimination of Capital Tax by January 1, 2008 for manufacturing companies Proposed Tax Measures in Federal Mini-budget GST now decreased to 5% - effective January 1, 2008 Annual filers threshold increased to $1.5M Quarterly installment threshold increased to $3k Effective January 1, 2008 general corporate tax rate will be reduced to 19.5% and small business rate reduced to 11% Quarterly installments now allowed within certain thresholds, much like Ontario How does this affect you?
